Silent warning also applies when low ambient temperatures (as forecast for Winter 2011) drag down battery voltages, causing alarm low battery voltage feature to activate; with other alarms this will generate a beep once a minute, often in the small hours.
It will also assist the increasing number of households where energy costs are an increasing concern, casuing locations such as hallways, even bedrooms
to be unheated; alarms are often fitted in these locations.
